LangLi brings K-Healing Books
to Asia Fest Tulsa 2026
LangLi’s Top 10 K-Healing books - see below!
LangLi says 2026 = Year of the Manga!
Our goal for 2026 is to increase the foreign language manga & graphic novels from 185 to 1,000. That is 815 new chances for a reader to stay engaged instead of stuck.
At ~$25 each, including shipping, every donation directly puts a real story into a language learner’s hands.
For many language learners, the jump from children’s books to full novels feels impossible. The vocabulary explodes. Confidence drops. Many learners give up right there.
Manga and graphic novels change that moment. Combining visuals with more language helps readers stay motivated long enough to level up!
Your gift allows you to name a specific series or novel you want to see on our shelves. You are choosing the stories our readers will fall in love with.

What is K-Healing?
(or Korean Healing Fiction)
It is a popular new genre of heartwarming novels translated from both Korean and Japanese!
Adjacent to literary therapy, K-Healing books focus on ordinary people overcoming life's struggles (loneliness, stress, heartbreak) in a cozy, relatable setting, like a bookshop or cafe.
K-Healing books reflect the strong cultural value placed in Korean and Japanese societies on emotional harmony, community, and finding healing in quiet, everyday moments..
LangLi Members can borrow each of the 10 K-Healing books on our list, and so many more, in their original language and/or in English!

About LangLi
If you’ve ever studied another language, you know how tragic it feels when the vocabulary evaporates from your mind.
If only there were a way to keep up with your languages that doesn’t require dry textbooks… boring classrooms… or being forced to speak with strangers way before you feel ready…
We started LangLi for all the multilingual people and language-learners in the USA! Reading can be a fun and rewarding way to practice your foreign language.
We travel the world collecting books for our members back home! Want to become a member? Complete the application here!
We’re currently recruiting volunteers to help start a drop-ship membership option and find a home for the collection to open to the public. Interested in volunteering? Take our survey here!
We’re fundraising $20,000 to buy 1,000 manga and graphic novels in 2026. It costs about $25 per volume, including shipping, and we have 815 volumes left to go. Donate via the button below!
